That’s it, we finally know when Xiaomi intends to present its best smartphone of 2023: the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The device will be announced next week, and the manufacturer is already starting to discuss the technical data sheet.
It has now been several days since the date of April 18 has been swirling on social media for the launch of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, after a retailer dropped the wick on its website. Xiaomi just confirmed the news today, and invites fans to watch the launch conference at 1 p.m. French time next Tuesday.
On the invitation, Xiaomi already gives us a glimpse of the design of the device, and in particular the photo module on the back. The back of the smartphone will be covered with leather, and you will find in the center a large circular photo module comprising 4 different sensors. Like every year, it is in the photo that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra promises to shine, thanks in particular to large cameras and its new partnership with Leica. This therefore confirms the design that was shared yesterday by the famous leaker OnLeaks.

On the back of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, we notice the mention Summicron, which indicates that Leica has placed its custom lenses in front of the smartphone’s sensors. Several other posters shared by Xiaomi indicate that this is the most advanced smartphone lenses on the marketand that they promise to be much more resistant than the others.
Xiaomi plans to equip its Xiaomi 13 Ultra with 4 cameras on the back, and will opt for large sensors this year. There will be a 50 MP (1 inch) IMX989 wide-angle, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle IMX858, a 50 MP 3X telephoto lens IMX858, and a 50 MP 5X IMX858 periscope. The main camera will not be identical to those found in other high-end smartphones, since Xiaomi plans to offer a variable aperture, to make its smartphone even more versatile.
