These are the emojis (already approved) that will arrive in 2022

In mid-2021 Unicode, the emoji management organization, presented the new proposals that could arrive in 2022. Through a public list, the new characters, tools, animals, accessories and other “stickers” were put to a vote to be selected by the audience.

The list was available for several months and now we know which are the (confirmed) emojis that will arrive in 2022, available both for Android, iOS and all the applications that currently use them, each platform making a personalized adaptation.

Since its inception, Unicode has accepted all proposals that are committed to combat stereotypes in matters related to professions and upbringing.

What are emojis?

The emojis are the popular images that we find on the keyboard or text bar of mobile phones, which are used to exemplify and personalize a message, emotion or feeling, or to simply save space or words. Its use is very popular and fun.

What are the emojis that will arrive in 2022?

The Unicode 15 update will integrate 22 new emojis Among those that stand out everyday objects, new gestures, animals and other accessories that we will soon be able to send to our contacts.

The Unicode Consortium document on this new batch of emojis has already been published, and it corresponds to Unicode version 15.0. It is expected that its implementation will take place in early 2022, and that in September the list will be definitively closed.
