Nick Michels is responsible for the creation of this very nice set of LEGO. Micheels, who by the way is a fan of photography, signed up for a contest organized by LEGO Ideas about activities in nature and decided to design a kit in honor of landscape photographers for that reason.
In this way, he created the construction that you see in the images, where there is no lack of rocky soil and somewhat irregular earth, a large tree, and a rather striking old car, whose interior can be opened, with a photographer who can be located in the upper zone, ready and willing to shoot with his big analog camera.
A set that will delight photography lovers and that has already accumulated more than 6,834 votes on the LEGO Ideas platform, which can only mean one thing: the chances of it coming true are many. You need 10,000 for the block company to consider it for review and study its feasibility as commercial set. If so, he will commit to its manufacture and sale, from which Micheels, of course, will receive some profit for being the architect of the project.
LEGO Ideas, a hotbed of new and original sets
In case you don’t know it, LEGO Ideas is the brand’s platform for the biggest fans of colored bricks to give free rein to their imagination. Users can in this way upload their creations and ideas and submit their project to the general public vote, that you can vote on the proposals that you like the most. Sometimes they do contests with specific themes -as has been the case of the one that concerns us today, focused on nature-, but other times the creations go free.
The interesting thing about all this is that the voting system helps LEGO itself to know which ideas would really succeed in the market, so that when a set reaches a very high score, it is reviewed by a team that studies the feasibility, redesigns what it deems appropriate and, finally, if they see it with projection, they launch it to the stores. As we have indicated, the author of the idea receives financial compensation for the sales, so that everyone wins – especially LEGO, wow.
