Upcoming Releases: Games June 2023

New month, new games. In a few weeks we will officially enter the summer, the smell of holidays and free time already floats in the environment. Many will already be seeing themselves on the beach, taking turns at the beach bar to get a mojito or a piña colada, which they will give a good account of while they bask in the sun with their eyes lost in the sea… at least until that the child from the couple next door starts to play and fills our souls with sand… and of course, the mojito / piña colada.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a cynic and I really hope I can escape to the beach for a few days to enjoy the disconnection that these summer getaways provide. Now, if by chance or by reason said plans were cut short or, as is likely, if said vacation retirement did not cover all my days off, Yes, I am clear that I will dedicate part of the remaining time to the gamesto enjoy my extensive and terribly underutilized library of games from digital stores.

What I am not so clear about, yes, is if among the games that will take over my free time during the next vacation, there will be one of the releases this month. Because? Surely you already imagine the answer, and it is that developers and distributors seem to have agreed so that many of the most anticipated titles hit the market in a really sorry state. The Last of Us Part 1 for PC, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Lord of the Rings: Gollum… the list is getting longer every month, to the point that it seems that this could become systematized.

Thus, and if we have always applied for it, now more than ever we encourage you NOT to buy games before they are released. Wait until the title you wanted is already on sale and rate it based on the reviews it gets during the first few days. It is true that the pre-purchase can give you access to special rewards, yes, but surely many of those who pre-purchased any of these games for them must be banging their heads against the wall for having bought an alpha version at a definitive price.

But hey, I leave the subject that, in the end, even the illusion is taken away from one, and it is not a question of getting to that. Let’s go, then, with the main releases of the month of June 2023… and may God distribute luck!
