It took a little longer than expected but today, thanks to the TUDUM live event, we are able to take a first look at the teaser trailer of Vikings: Valhalla, the Vikings spin off series coming to Netflix.
Abandoned the shores of Kattegat, as stated in the teaser trailer, a new generation of warriors (and Vikings) is ready to debut in this new series set at the beginning of the eleventh century, or 100 years after the events narrated in Vikings.
Here is the first teaser trailer of Vikings: Valhalla subtitled in Italian:
The series, produced by Netflix and created by Michael Hirst in collaboration with MGM Television, will follow the exploits of some important historical figures such as Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdotter, Harald Hardrada and the Norman king William the Conqueror.
The cast will feature Sam Corlett (The Terrifying Adventures of Sabrina), Frida Gustavsson (Swoon), Leo Suter (The Liberator), Bradley Freegard (Keeping Faith), Jóhannes Jóhannesson (Cursed), Laura Berlin (Immenhof – The Adventure of a Summer), David Oakes (The Pillars of the Earth) and Caroline Henderson (Tuya Siempre), with the presence also of Pollyanna McIntosh and Asbjørn Krogh Nissen.
Jeb Stuart is the showrunner and screenwriter of the series, whose debut on Netflix is expected next year (unfortunately we don’t have a precise launch window yet).
