It took until 2023 before Google finally announced its big comeback to the connected tablet market with the Google Pixel Tablet. Drawing on its experience in the smartphone market, the Mountain View firm has developed one of the most powerful tablets on the market, in particular thanks to its in-house chip Google Tensor G2 already present on its Pixel 7 series of phones. But Google is also innovating since its tablet can be transformed into smart screen to control your home connected thanks to its charging dock.
The Google I/O conference on May 10, 2023 was therefore the opportunity to unveil all the characteristics of this new tablet. Google also revealed two very important pieces of information: its price and its official release date. To offer you the Google Pixel Tablet, you will have to pay a budget of 679 euros for the 128 GB model And 799 euros for the 256 GB model. It is available in two colours, Porcelain and Sage Green.
Regarding the release date, you will have to wait until June 20, 2023 to get it for you. But it is already available for pre-order at several retailers such as Fnac, Darty, Boulanger or Amazon. The tablet is sold directly with its charging dock equipped with a speaker.
The Google Pixel Tablet is equipped with a 11 inch LCD screen with a definition of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Its design is similar to the brand’s smartphones with a aluminum shell and ceramic coating. To rotate the tablet, we find the Tensor G2 chip paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
The tablet is also equipped with two camerasone forward and one aft, both of which are 8 MP Sony IMX355 sensors. We also have 3 microphones and 4 speakers to allow video calls to be made in the best possible conditions. Finally, the announced autonomy is 12 hours of use.
