Specifically in the conceptual sketches that gave rise to Star Warswork carried out by the second most important person in the success of the franchise -after George Lucas- as was Ralph McQuarrie.

This American designer, who passed away in 2012, worked at Boeing in the 1970s before embarking on the project Star Wars and it was to him that all the concept art qwhich were later used for put faces and eyes to the main characters like Darth Vader, C3-PO, R2-D2the Jawas and their vehicles –the sandcrawler–, the inhabitants of the sands and their Banthas or the arid places of Tattoine, the frozen steppes of Hot and even the AT-AT Walkers as well as the rest of the settings of the first three films.

Well, when Ralph McQuarrie conceived the hero, whom we know today as Luke Skywalker, he was not going to call himself that and the American decided to design a protagonist that everyone knew in the original story as Luke Starkiller. And it was he who decided to wear a bulky mask on his head, a kind of stellar glasses and a suit that was far from resembling that farmer outfit that we later saw in the movie.

So it’s been from those concept art by Ralph McQuarrie who LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga wanted to allow us to visit with a beta character the same scenarios that, initially, someone devised that the Jedi apprentice named Luke Starkiller, tasked with saving the Galaxy from the tyranny of the Empire, would go through in episodes IV, V and VI.
