The official launch of the Galaxy S23 FE is imminent, and it looks like its release is scheduled for just a few days, as the smartphone is expected to arrive as early as next month.

Galaxy S23 FE

It’s been several months now that everything led to believe that Samsung was going to launch its new Galaxy S23 FE ahead of its usual schedule. For example, we had the opportunity to see images of the device at a certification body, and even smartphone benchmarks on Geekbench.

Leaker Yogesh Brar reconfirmed on his Twitter account that the Galaxy S23 FE would launch as early as next month, in September 2023. So it’s slightly earlier than usual, since Samsung usually launched this series at the beginning or end of the year.

Which technical sheet for the Galaxy S23 FE?

The Galaxy S23 FE should take over a good part of the characteristics of the classic Galaxy S23, but will still make some concessions to keep a more affordable price. First of all, we know that the smartphone will be powered by an Exynos 2200 chipunlike the Galaxy S23 which is entitled to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It should therefore be significantly less powerful than the other devices in the series.

We will find at the front a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display with rather imposing borders. It will be powered by a 4500 mAh battery compatible with 25W wired fast charging. Wireless fast charging will also be included.

In terms of photography, the great novelty would be a 50 MP main photo sensor. It will be accompanied by an 8 MP ultra wide-angle sensor as well as a 12 MP telephoto lens offering 3X optical zoom.

Finally, at the software level, we can count on Android 13 with OneUI 5.1. Samsung is currently testing One UI 6.0 on its high-end smartphones, but the new version will not be ready in time for the release of the new device. The Galaxy S23 FE will receive 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security patches, like other high-end devices from the Korean manufacturer. It now remains to be seen which day Samsung intends to launch its smartphone with us.
