Albert Llorens, new director of Semrush’s Market Research business unit

The SaaS platform for online visibility management and content marketing, Semrush, has appointed Albert Llorens Albareda as the new director of the Market Research business unit, a task that he will carry out from the headquarters that the company opened in Barcelona last summer. Llorens takes over the leadership of the business unit dedicated to “Competitive Intelligence” which offers a data tool for tracking the competition and the identification of new markets and emerging trends.

With a degree in Market Research and Techniques from the University of Barcelona and an Executive MBA from IESE, Albert Llorens has accumulated extensive experience in creation, market launch and growth of both large companies (Caixabank, Parlem Telecom) and startups (bcn10 or Imagine Creativity Center), and also as head of business development and growth in spin-offs of large corporations (imagin – Caixabank).

The arrival of Llorens to the company is the direct consequence of the good reception that the Spanish market has given to the opening of the Semrush office, the largest European headquarters, in the 22@ district of Barcelona, after the purchase of the Catalan startup Kompyte in March 2022.
