Apple has just presented a new MacBook Air at the keynote of the world conference with developers, WWDC 2023, which we are offering you live. As had been speculated, it comes with a great novelty, a 15 inch screen.
Apple celebrated a few months ago the 15th anniversary of the release of the first Air, a smaller, lighter and cheaper variant of the MacBook series. Introduced by Steve Jobs himself, Apple touted it as the thinnest laptop on the planet. It was very well received by critics and the public that has ended up making it one of the best-selling ultraportables.

Apple has opted for a 15.3-inch Retina display, the largest ever mounted on an Air Series laptop and a significant leap in display capability. The screen can display 1 billion colors and has a brightness of 500 nits.
Apple has not jumped the generation in terms of hardware engine to the expected M3, but repeats with the well-known Apple M2 in this version with 8 CPU processing cores and 10 graphics cores. And perhaps the most interesting thing comes from a passive cooling design, no annoying fans.
In terms of memory and storage, the MacBook Air 15 will be able to equip up to 24 Gbytes of RAM and up to 2 Tbytes of capacity with PCIe solid-state drives.
Despite the increase in screen size, Apple has slimmed down its thickness to 11.5 mm, the thinnest 15-inch laptop on the planet Apple assures.
It has a full ‘Magic’ keyboard, a six-speaker audio system, MagSafe connector, fingerprint reader and Facetime webcam with 1080p resolution. Its autonomy is outstanding, according to Apple: up to 18 hours of use.
The new MacBook Air 15 will be distributed in four color finishesand as usual with Apple it will be available immediately, next week.
And let’s go with the prices because they are not bad at all (bearing in mind that we are talking about Apple). The laptop will be sold with a starting price of $1,299. Of course with the latest version of macOS and free update for several generations.
Shall we bet on another Apple bestseller? Undoubtedly the increase in screen size and with it its visualization capacity will please many users. Thinner than the 13-inch model, it’s not too heavier, which will surely help the choice.
