Assassin’s Creed Origins is an important game in the franchise, since it inaugurated a new, more open formula focused on the RPG. Released in 2017, it does not benefit from a patch to play it at 60 frames per second on the new consoles while this is the case for the next component, namely Odyssey.

Fans have been asking horns and screams for this update and Ubisoft has heard the pleas. In a tweet, the French studio indicated that it is working on it and asks us to stay tuned.

Origins will no longer be stuck at 30 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X

At the moment, we don’t have more details. We can obviously assume that the game will be in 4K (as on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro versions) with simply the possibility of playing it in 60 FPS. It is also not absurd to hope for reduced loading times. Right now, if you run Origins on your PS5, the game gets stuck at 30 frames per second. The only version that goes beyond is on PC.

Assassin’s Creed Origins was released in 2017 after a one-year hiatus for the series. This allowed Ubisoft to inaugurate a new formula, with a more open world, a system of side quests and loot, very inspired by what The Witcher 3 had done. Origins was also the opportunity to explore a new historical period, the Lagid Egypt between full civil war between Ptolemy and Cleopatra. The player plays there Bayek, the first assassin in history. A title hailed by critics and appreciated by fans, both for its gameplay and its unique atmosphere.

As for the last part, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft recently unveiled the new DLC: Dawn of Ragnarok. Likewise, a new quest, “crossed stories”, is available. Ubisoft promises a new year of content while waiting for the announcement of the next installment which should arrive next year if all goes well.

In any case, Origins fans have been heard. Finally. A good opportunity to (re) discover it.
