Atos democratizes companies’ access to the metaverse

Athosthe French digital services company, has presented its proposals for this edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) of Barcelona 2023. All are included under the same motto: use technology as a lever for innovation in a sustainable society.

All this is possible thanks to the Atos collaboration with Fireframe (creative company of Mikko Kodisoja and Clash Royale), with which they will make a gaming-based virtual production and to which users will access with the help of virtual reality glasses. Once inside, they can choose different rooms with configurations (cinema, amphitheatre, etc.), introduce yourself with your avatar and interact with the rest. Thus, a virtual and multi-user environment that merges the physical reality with the simulated one.

The metaverse solutions will be available on-premise and in the cloud. In the demo presented during the MWC, visitors interact with a supercomputer BullSequana XH3000 of Athos.

An initiative for sustainability

Another of the clear commitments made by Atos and Fireframe in the field of the metaverse is the demonstration that this technological improvement will be sustainable, contributing to the implementation of its decarbonization strategy towards a net zero industry.

The TMT industry has been a pioneer in this regard, and now Atos will demonstrate at the MWC how its tools are adapted towards a much-needed goal. CRAFT is Atos’ organizational sustainability planning, monitoring and monitoring tool that helps energy managers, directors and board members set the roadmap for carbon reduction and that necessary net-zero strategy.

For its part, the Atos tool myCO2Compass aims to digitize carbon data collection and generate new insights to accelerate net zero by showing IT energy consumption, travel emissions, waste and reduced collection activities. All current data can be linked to forecasts for improve predictability and decision making.
