To answer this question, we are going to see what maximum temperature a computer processor can take without shutting down.
A working CPU will range between normal values of between 30°C and 60°C. This changes if we are using the processor with a powerful game or program since could reach 80°C or even 90°C. The current ones are set up for them and it shouldn’t be a problem.
But, what happens with a processor that has cooling problems and we put it to the maximum? Here things change. In this case we could exceed the 100 degrees very easily if we set our minds to it. But we would have to be very careful because we could destroy the component and part of the rest.
Keep in mind that many of today’s processors have a security limit. After a certain number of degrees and temperature, they would automatically turn off, avoiding damage to it.
However, would 100 °C be enough to cook with the CPU? the answer is yesand it is that with that temperature we could not only cook a piece of meat slowly, but we could even fry an egg!
It can be funny and even make you want to try it, but be aware of the risks involved. You could be left without a computer for doing so, although if you are fed up with it overheating, turning off and you don’t want to know anything else about it, it is a good way to give it a second use. Who was going to tell you that you had a kitchen in the room and you did not know it.
Seriously, it’s something pretty absurd and we don’t know who came up with it, I guess you were tired of your PC, you would see temperatures over 100 degrees and you thought why not? There is always someone who surprises us. We have already seen how people cook a fried egg on the hood of a car or even on a sidewalk in Andalusia on a 40-degree day, so it was not going to be less a computer.
There are many videos on YouTube of people cooking everything from meat to sausages and even the mythical fried egg. If you want to see them, it’s easy to find them and the truth is that they are funny, at least, to see something different. Of course, if you dare to do it, put a container so that it cooks better, do not do it directly, at least if you do not want to die poisoned by the metals and components of the processor itself.
