DES2022 takes the center of the conversation about innovation to Malaga

After six editions in Madrid, the Digital Enterprise Show 2022 (DES2022) has moved to Malaga, where it will focus on technological innovation for the next five years. Its organizers, who with the change of venue also have the purpose of giving more impetus to the city to turn it into a hub of technological and digital innovation for Southern Europe, hope that this first edition in Malaga, which raises the curtain today to at 12:45, has an economic impact for the city of more than 30 million euros.

DES2022, which will end on June 16, will have more than 14,000 congressmen and its motto is Reimagine Business. More than 600 experts will gather at the event to share their experiences in innovation and digital transformation with the attendees, and also to talk about success stories in various sectors, such as banking, commerce, industry, mobility, health or tourism.

Among the speakers at the event, which will feature more than 250 hours of presentationshighlights the Former President of the United States, Barack Obama. Next to him will be the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and other political figures from all over Spain. Above all, municipal and regional politics, which will talk about how their administrations are adapting new technologies and attracting talent for the development of ecosystems focused on innovation.

In addition, international experts in different fields will participate in DES2022. Among them Gunter Pauli, creator of the Blue Economy concept; Raghu Ravinutala, CEO and one of the founders of Yellow.ai; Christopher Trappe, one of the world’s foremost content marketing experts; Lisa Mae Brunson, founder of Wonder Woman Tech; Choy Yon Kong, Vice President of the Singapore Development Board; o Eva Snijders, member of the World Communication Forum Committee.

On the other hand, the event will have more than 335 exhibitors, who will present their innovations in Artificial Intelligence, IoT, cybersecurity, multicloud, data analytics, virtual reality, Blockchain or 5G. Among them are AWS, Globant, IBM, KPMG, Kyndryl, Oracle, T-System, VMware, Banco Santander, Adobe, Fujitsu, Mastercard, Bolt, Ferrovial, Havas Media, Personio, and ThePower Business School.

Parallel to the exhibition and the presentations, DES2022 will have a specific forum to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem: The Scale-Up! world-summit. It will also last three days, and it will be an event that will have its own pavilion. It is designed so that more than 2,000 startups from around the world present their business models to the companies and entities that will participate in DES2022 from June 14 to 16.

Of course, the exhibition area will only be for more than 250 emerging companies. Most participate in a group, along with their acceleration systems. Among them are Madrid Innovation, Startup Valencia, ProMálaga, Digital Content Pole, Andalusian Government or the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE). Startups from Ukraine that have had to emigrate to other European countries have the opportunity to participate in the forum for free.

It will feature a startup competition, and those that are finalists will go up on a stage where they will compare their business models with potential investors. In addition, they will have the opportunity to attract investment and interest from different funds.
