Almost six months before its release, Black Adam is revealed a little more. Thanks to Dwayne Johnson and Total Film, we finally have a first glimpse of the character’s costume. It sends heavy.
Costumes are to superhero movies what cars are to Fast and furious. True objects of lust and sometimes of disappointment, they are scrupulously analyzed by fans who hope to find some clues about the plot that will be unfolded in a film. Black Adam does not escape the keen gaze of fans, who can indulge themselves without displeasure in their in-depth examination of the new images shared by Total Film.
Invited on the set of the feature film, the specialized media shares a first series of photos and gives us a unique glimpse of the costume that Dwayne Johnson will wear in the film. We had already had a dark image on Instagram, we now have much more ground to grind.
Thus, we discover the golden lightning that crisscrosses his chest. Much less flashy and pop than that of Shazam, it refers to the origins of his powers, which like Billy Batson, are divine. Anti-hero obliges, the costume does not make in the shades of garish colors, but rather a palette of black and gray, with some golden details here and there.
We also notice a few runes and other magical scribbles superimposed on it. Add to that the actor’s massive build, and the result is definitely there. Good news for rainy days, Black Adam even has a small hood, convertible option for combat and stealth mode for discretion.

Dwayne Johnson initially hated
In terms of costumes, The Rock knows a lot. The former wrestler has already worn many of them during his professional wrestling career, before donning other costumes for the 7th art. But obviously, he particularly appreciates that of Black Adam.
“They are the best costume designers in the business, all of whom have done an incredible job. They are so talented. They came to the house and I was able to try it. I hated. Everything was padded. So they immediately started ripping, cutting, and ripping again. When I put on the costume for the second time, I thought to myself, I’m Black Adam. ”
All that remains is to discover all this moving gear, when the film is shown in the cinema. The meeting is set at July 27th.
