Surely you have had to set an alarm with your iPhone, either to work or to go on a trip. And without a doubt, it is not pleasant at all to be woken up by an alarm sounding at full volume, so in this post we are going to explain some of the settings of this app available on your iPhone.
As you may already know, the iPhone alarm is located within the Clock app. There, in addition to the alarm, you can see the world clock, the stopwatch and the timer. And it is that it is a quite complete application since in addition to all this, you will be able to monitor your sleep without the need for smart watches.
Features you didn’t know
Within the alarm itself, there are certain functions that you probably did not know that you could modify or change. That is why we leave you with some of them, so that you can begin to familiarize yourself and be able to use them.
- Turn off the alarm even if it’s not from your mobile: Surely more than once you have been forced to get up to turn it off, but this should not be necessary if you both have an Apple mobile. Users who share an account ‘In family’ they can turn on and off alarms of the rest of the members from a distance. These family accounts allow up to 6 people to share features and services.
- Down the volume: the first thing you have to do is enter the application Settings of your iPhone to access device settings. Once you are inside the settings of your device, you have to click on the Sounds and vibrations section. Adjust the volume as you prefer and you like.
- Lower the volume of a specific alarm: if you have the alarm clock set through the concentration mode Rest, you will be able to adjust its volume separately. For this, the first thing you have to do is enter the application Settings of your iPhone to access device settings. Once you enter the settings of your device, you have to click on the section Concentration modes. This is where you will be able to create and manage the iOS concentration modes, which are the ones that manage times when you can receive alarms and notifications and those others when they are paused, including when you sleep. Once you are inside the modes of concentration, you have to press on mode Rest. In the event that you do not have this mode configured, it is a good time to do so by setting the hours at which you sleep and when you want the alarm clock to sound. click on the button Edit to change your settings.
- Remove the option to Snooze alarm: what you have to do is go to create an alarm. Once there, and without having saved the alarm you want to use, scroll through the menu to the bottom. You will see a tab, which is the important one. It’s the one that says “Postpone Option.” By simply deactivating this tab, the alarm once it has sounded and you have stopped it, it will not sound again. Thus avoiding having to run many times to be able to stop this alert again or to be interrupted when you are doing something.
