It has been a recurring excuse in the world of videogames to put ourselves in the shoes of characters who have always boasted of magic, some arts that are necessary to defeat incredible beasts, dragons and other sorcerers with supernatural power. So if now that we live under the fever of Hogwarts Legacy you want to dive into other magical universes, here we leave you some very, very fun.
Magic like you’ve never seen it before
Ever since the new game in the Harry Potter franchise was announced, Hogwarts Legacy, old classics that touched on similar themes (although in a diametrically opposite way) have proliferated and come back to life. And we understand you perfectly, who has not dreamed of being a powerful wizard, possessor of knowledge and the most powerful spells in history?
Don’t worry, if after playing the new title based on JK Rowling’s novels you have been left wanting more spells, here we bring you five sagas in which the magical element is the protagonist. Without further ado, let’s start with this magical list.
LEGO The Lord of the Rings and LEGO The Hobbit
We begin with what is for many the best title based on the books of JRR Tolkien. In both titles we will embody wizards such as Gandalf, Saruman or Radagast on numerous occasions and we will face hordes of orcs and specters of the one ring. If we take into account that we are dealing with games that follow the LEGO formula, with their characteristic humor, we are sure that you will have hours and hours of fun.
The Witcher Saga
Another of the great banners of the fantastic genre is the video game saga developed by CD Projekt Red, The Witcher. In this franchise we will put ourselves in the shoes of Geralt de Rivia, one of the last witches left on Earth. In this trilogy of games we will meet a very different magic user what we are used to, who will not hesitate to kill if necessary and whose defining detail is that it is focused on a more adult player.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
What can be said about skyrim that hasn’t already been said a decade after its release? The closest we’ll ever get to having a gta medieval and magical. Among all the options customization of your character, you can turn him into a magician with extraordinary abilities which on many occasions will border on the absurd. Of all the titles on this list, we believe that this will be the one with which you are going to have the best time.
The Dragon Age Saga
We return to one of the most emblematic franchises in the history of modern fantasy that is also preparing its return. Dragon Age places us in a fantasy world of those with dragons, knights and of course wizards, lots of wizards. The three games in the franchise (so far) are fan favorites, although if you allow us some advice, we recommend the first one above all.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Although technically speaking we are cheating (since the protagonist is not a magician as such), but yes you are given magical abilities thanks to a supernatural entity. If you are a fan of The Lord of the RingsIf you want a somewhat more serious title and attached to the novels and movies, we highly recommend it.
