Francisco Sierra, new general director of Casavo for southern Europe

The real estate startup, Casavo, has appointed Francisco Sierra as the new general manager for southern Europe. Sierra will therefore go on to lead the company in all the markets in which he operates within this region: Spain, Italy and Portugal.

With a long professional career in the financial and technological sectors, Sierra will be in charge of leading and establish the “road map” of the company, which is in full transformation of its value proposition. Although it was born as an ‘iBuyer’ or instant home buyer, today Casavo has evolved its business model to respond to the needs of a greater number of home sellers and buyers. A challenge that Francisco Sierra will assume for all of southern Europe.

Francisco Sierra is a graduate in Industrial Engineering from the Comillas Pontifical University (2006), training that, later, he complemented with a postgraduate degree in Finance from the University of Berkeley (2006) and an MBA from IESE Universidad de Navarra (2012).

As for his previous professional experienceSierra began his career in investment banking at JP Morgan and in venture capital at Active Venture Partners (a fund led by Telefónica). Since 2015, she has held leadership positions at two leading European fintech unicorns: Funding Circle and N26. At N26, first as General Director for Spain, and later, in 2018, as Director of Europe, based in Berlin. In 2021, he joined the Casavo team to lead the company’s expansion in Spain.

This change in position represents a great opportunity for growth, both personally and professionally. I assume with joy and enthusiasm the leadership of such an exciting project for Casavo throughout southern Europe.”, declared Francisco Sierra. “The changes experienced by the real estate market, such as the reduction of the ‘stock’ of housing or the increase in interest rates make this new route for Casavo an enriching challenge”Sierra adds.
