The Galaxy S22 are victims of an astonishing bug. The speakers of some smartphones sometimes start crackling or squealing. The problem is caused by extreme temperatures or airplane flight.
Many users of a Galaxy S22 encounter malfunctions with the loudspeakers of the smartphone. According to testimonies relayed by the German blog Caschys, the speakers suddenly start to creak for no particular reason.
“The sound it produces for any type of audio is absolutely awful and feels like it’s damaging the phone”says a user on a Samsung forum. “I just received my S22 and I am really dissatisfied and disappointed with the sound quality and its crackling at times on certain songs!”underlines another Internet user.

Apparently the problem was caused by a poor atmospheric pressure management. The extreme pressure variations would cause those amazing sounds coming out of the speakers. According to the blog, the Galaxy S22s, and the speakers, are very sensitive to pressure. All it takes is a plane flight to cause malfunctions. Many affected customers had just returned from a flight.
The problem also occurs when the phone is subject to extreme temperatures, whether it is a cold snap or intense heat. After going for a ride in the snow, some users have experienced issues with the speakers, which continuously crackle and squeak.
“In cold weather, playing any sound through the speakers makes them sound clogged”, testifies a buyer. Another quickly realized that “cold temperatures were causing the speaker problem”. In some cases, it suffices to press the touch screen to avoid malfunctions for a while. Unfortunately, this trick doesn’t seem to work every time.

Other users claim that remove and replace the drawer dedicated to the SIM card temporarily fixes the bug. Others mention the removal of the SD card.
