Google is finally rolling out its biggest Google Pixel update yet, which gives all owners of its Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones free VPN access to its Google One service. Indeed, according to our colleagues from 9to5Google, this functionality which had been promised during the Made By Google event in October would finally be available for some users.

As a reminder, a VPN is a “virtual private network” that disguises your identity when you are online and also encrypts your internet data. It also gives you protection when using public Wi-Fi networks, but certainly the most common use is to be able to unblock geo-blocked content.

If you have already received the update, you should see a new welcome screen after launched the Google One app on your phone, announcing the tool’s availability. You can also visit the “benefits” tab to see more details about the tool. Otherwise, you can enable the feature through a quick setting option or by going to the settings > network and internet > VPN.
