Ibiza will host the national congress on the future of tourism and social media

Next Friday, November 26, will be held the sixth edition of the National Congress of Tourism and Social Media of the Spanish Association of Hotel Directors and Managers, AEDH. This event, which will take place in the Cas Serres Auditorium, began to be held as the culmination of the blogtrip Spanish, record in scope and impacts, #CuencaEnamora, and that the AEDH has been organizing for three editions. The slogan for this edition is #ReturnToShare.

In this edition, the association presents the latest trends in social networks, digital communication, innovation, sustainable tourism and digital transformation, applied to tourism, through presentations and debates with more than 15 experts. The main presentations will be made by two international experts: Alfredo Vela, specialist communicator in Social Media and Talent, and Eva Ballarín, trainer, communicator and strategic consultant in Tourism. In addition, there will be three round tables, a central coffee activity, tasting of local products and networking.

Regarding the three panels, more than 15 specialists will participate, such as Guille Rodríguez, head of Social Media at Palladium Hotel Group; Marc Rahola Matutes, founder and CEO of OD Group; José María Ramón, CEO of NeoBookings; Roberto Torregrosa, CEO of Guitart Hotels; Marian Ruiz, from Roibos; Rafael Martínez, CEO of Imagen Social; Isidro Tenorio, founder of Bequest; María Rodríguez, podcaster in “From Zero in Tourism”; Alejandro Cainzos, freelance Brand Strategist; Pili Malagarriga co-founder of Segundo Mundo RSCC; Inma Saranova director of IbizaPreservation; Laura Rampérez CEO of Inturea; Giada Forneris, ReThink Ibiza, among others.

The success of attendance and repercussion of the previous editions has prompted the AEDH to resume some of your initial goals, such as extending training and information on the latest digital trends, while helping different Spanish tourist destinations in their various initiatives, especially those that have to do with the sustainable promotion of their environment.

For the organization, this 2021 edition had to take place in Ibiza, since the island is one of the most important destinations in Europe, a World Heritage Site, and above all, in which projects, programs and initiatives as innovative as ‘Ibiza, Smart and Sustainable Tourism’ of the Consell are being carried out. Insular d’Eivissa or ‘Ibiza Produce’ by the IbizaPreservation Foundation.

Attendance at this conference, open to everyone, interested, professionals and specialists, is highly recommended to quickly update yourself on trends and news related to tourism and social media, At the same time, it will be possible to talk directly with specialists and experts in both sectors, both local and from different parts of the Spanish geography.

Solidarity lunch

The AEDH wants to end the congress with the organization of a solidarity lunch for the benefit of Ibiza Produce, foundation project IbizaPreservation, which works in the promotion and development of local products, as well as collaborating with agricultural projects on the island. In addition, this organization has worked with the Catalan chef based in Ibiza David Reartes to start up Cocina Central Ibiza, a social project that has offered more than 11,000 menus, made with fresh and healthy products, to 70 families in Ibiza. Lunch will be held at the Reart restaurant.
