Nintendo is one of those companies used to filling the market with new console models that they are customized for certain sagas in their catalogue. And we will not have to remember that each one of them ends up coming out of a peak and that having them all is a mission only within the reach of pockets that do not have too many holes. So the new Switch of the last Zelda it is, for the moment, a simple object of desire. Nothing else?
If you are clear that you are not going to spend as much on a console as the one inspired by The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (comes out for about 350 euros) then It’s time to go find a more modest alternative and that can be misleading to a user who does not consider himself an expert. That is We are only interested in cheap alternatives that deceive others making them think that we have in our possession one of these exclusive machines.
What can we do?
Well, once the original alternative of acquiring the new Nintendo console is ruled out, it’s time to go look for an alternative online store. AND This has to do with what is called a cover, which is nothing more than a series of personalized plastic pieces that are placed both on the front and on the back and the Joy-Con themselves. They are somewhat more spectacular but if we are willing to do whatever it takes to appear… they will serve us well.
So in order not to have to spend those 350 euros we have preferred to opt for a cheaper alternative, barely 26and which replicates the colors and motifs of the new Zelda to transform our boring console into a practically collector’s item. As you can see in the images, the final result is not bad at all, with that gold-tinted front with the more than recognizable motifs of the new Tears of the Kingdom and an almost white back with some pretty gold engravings.
Total, this is a five piece settwo for each Joy-Con and one for the back of the Switch itself, where the plastic casing grips both the top and bottom of the screen, leaving a space for the cartridge slot, microSD cards below and its own leg to maintain standing functionality to leave the console on the table.
A very well done look
It is evident that for 26 euros we are not going to get our Switch to adopt the same appearance that the official version of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom but we are going to get very close and without making the dimensions of the machine too fat, including its controls. In addition, it is a material with a very good touch and, yes, we hope that the motifs are well printed on the pieces to prevent them from disappearing with the passage of time and use, leaving a rather poor trace of erasure.
But the important thing is that we are going to save around 324 euros and we will have, at first glance, a clone of that Switch inspired by the new Zelda. No?
