Revolut has appointed Ignacio Zunzunegui as the new Head of Growth Southern Europe. Zunzunegui, who joined the company in February 2022 as Head of Growth for Spain and Portugal, has now been chosen to lead the Southern Europe region and scale Revolut’s marketing and growth strategies in Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Zunzunegui has a solid knowledge of the three markets that make up the hub of Southern Europe. Before joining Revolut Directed the Marketing Department of AliExpress in Spain, for a year and a half, taking care of implementing the integrated communication strategy of the second most important marketplace in the country. Previously, he also held the position of Marketing Manager for Iberia at the Glovo delivery platform, where he led the brand’s expansion strategy in Spain and Portugal. In Italy, he was part of the Heineken Italia sales and marketing team, alternating various positions for three years.
During his career at Revolut, after announcing in mid-2022 that the company had surpassed one million customers in Spain, he now takes on the new challenge of leading the teams in these three countries and activating alliances with brands, networks, agencies, influencers, affiliates and media, planning and executing strategies and campaigns across marketing channels – including digital marketing, community management, CRM, content marketing and offline and Revolut’s first national and cross-border television campaigns.
