Konica Minolta Workplace One, a package of services to work in the cloud

Konica Minolta expands its portfolio of managed IT services with Workplace One, a package of digital services for companies designed above all for make it easy for organizations to deploy and manage the cloud. The package offers a managed environment with Microsoft 365, a managed backup service to facilitate data security, remote proactive monitoring, and deployment of Microsoft online services.

Workplace One is already on the market in Sweden, and will soon be launched throughout Europe. First, the company will offer the Workplace One Collaboration & Communication package, based on a Microsoft 365 Business Basic license. This includes a managed Microsoft 365 environmentmanaged backup services, proactive monitoring and deployment of Microsoft Exchange, Teams and other Microsoft online services.

With Workplace One, companies receive a Microsoft 365 environment managed by Konica Minolta, Microsoft’s Global Managed Partner. This includes license management for SharePoint, Exchange, and Azure AD. In addition, thanks to its managed backup services, Konica Minolta offers a fully managed and automated backup solution. This prevents data loss and business interruptions.

The package offers management services and daily backups, so that all files, including email and the contents of OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, are protected. Workplace One also offers multi-factor authentication, further preventing unauthorized access to sensitive data. On the other hand, the backup data is stored in the data centers that Konica Minolta has in Germany and Sweden.

The package also includes remote monitoring of the availability and performance of online services. In addition, it detects interface problems, as well as improvements that can be made when using the services. This facilitates fast and reliable repairs, trying to correct failures remotely before system downtime is generated.

Another of the strengths of the package is the activation of applicable online services, such as Exchange, Teams or OneDrive, in Microsoft 365 to ensure that the employees of the company that activates it have access to them, and the corresponding capabilities that allow them to work remotely in the Microsoft solutions contracted by the company.

Employees will also have access to Microsoft 365 Apps, and cloud storage assigned to them, through the service’s apps and portals. This gives them a uniform and easy-to-use interface, which makes it easy to locate both information and applications. They can access the portal from any device and place.

Meanwhile, Konica Minolta handles operations, maintenance, user management, licensing, updates, and security. Thus, organizations can save on IT resources and reduce investment expenses and operating costs. The price they have to pay to deploy Workplace One and have their employees use it is paid by subscription, for a fixed monthly fee.

In return, companies will have a platform configured according to their particular requirements and needs, which can be scaled as necessary. Both its number of users and its capacity are variable, which gives the opportunity to increase or reduce the number of users and applications to be used.

Of course, Konica Minolta Workplace One is not aimed at very large companies, but at organizations with a maximum of 300 employees. In either case, it’s built for entities that either aren’t using Microsoft 365 yet, or are already using internally managed Microsoft 365. Also for those who are not using it yet
