Disney+ is announcing some key dates related to the UCM products and among them, it has confirmed the premiere of the season 2 of Loki. The return of the popular series, which was quite well received by the public, is one of the most anticipated of the year, so discovering that its coming-out has been postponed (not much, quiet) is the last thing we wanted to hear. Do you have the great controversy of the actor who plays Kang something to see? they’re rerecording episodes already with another actor?
Loki, a long-awaited return
Disney may be sinning by overproducing series related to the UCM -remember, for example, the upcoming premiere of Threw out-but it must be recognized that between so many titles there are small and entertaining gems such as Loki. This proposal, with the villain of the same name as the protagonist, takes us by the hand of Thor’s stepbrother and his adventures with a first season that quite surprised the audience.
The production was dynamic, fresh, the new characters entertaining, and all in all, it all went together quite well. Among his highlights we also have the incorporation of Kang the Conqueror, one of the most important and determining characters of the current Phase of the UCM and that it was brilliantly played by Jonathan Majors, whom we have seen later in all his splendor in the Quantumania from Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Unfortunately to Majors they have not gone well things this year and his alleged involvement in a violent altercation against his partner has sat him in court. This has unleashed endless rumors about whether Marvel would be able to eliminate it from the map, one of the first consequences being a delay in the premiere of season 2 of Loki… And look where it has just been confirmed that the delivery is postponed. Are these two facts related?
A delay, new date and many doubts
There were many who suggested that the actor’s problems could make Marvel do without him and look for a new face to give life to his great villain. That would mean reshooting all of Kang’s scenes in season 2 of Loki and, with it, a delay in its premiere.
At first it was noted that we would see the new installment in summer and then it was confirmed that September would finally be the month chosen for the return. Neither one nor the other. Marvel Studios has confirmed that “Loki 2« will be released on October 6thus confirming that they have needed to move the dates again.
This dance of days has generated a new wave of rumors that assure that this is because, as many bet, they are re-recording the Majors scenes with a new actor. No one has been able to confirm this and, in fact, Marvel still hasn’t ruled on what it’s going to do with the American’s contract.
media sources BGR they assure that the delay could have been even greater but that they have nothing to do with Jonathan Majors and that in fact the actor will appear in Loki 2 as it is recorded. The problem has come from the hostile environment in Hollywood with the writers’ strike, something that has generated “various problems.”
