Microsoft will improve the visual design of the Teams app

The Redmond giant has confirmed that it is working on a major revision of Microsoft Teams that will affect, in theory, to visual design of this well-known collaborative work platform, although it seems that initially they will focus on the application and that they will later extend the new design to the rest of the versions.

A change in design means a change in interface, and the truth is that after so long this will come in very handy for Microsoft Teams, one of the most important and most widely used collaborative work platforms in the world. According to the Redmond company, the new “floating” design will improve the interface and it will contribute to boosting participation, it will simplify and speed up the launch of applications, it will facilitate the discovery of new applications that will help us in our day-to-day activities and it will mark an important evolution in terms of user experience.

That new design is expected to come to Microsoft Teams at some point in February next year although we still do not have a specific date within that month, and its debut may be gradual, which would mean that not everyone could enjoy it simultaneously. We’ll see how this ends up, but I think in the worst case a gradual release shouldn’t take Microsoft more than a couple of weeks.

In recent weeks, Microsoft has confirmed other important news that will be coming to Teams soon, so it is clear that the company is working hard to continue improving this collaborative work platform. Among the most interesting novelties we can highlight the greater integration with Outlookand also the use of artificial intelligence to drive a more agile and automated user experience.
