If you have a Xiaomi mobile launched in the last two or three years, most likely you have already updated to MIUI 14, the Chinese brand’s own Android customization layer and also used by its subsidiaries, Redmi and POCO. You will have done it regardless of whether you have also received the update to Android 13. But the same will not happen with the next one.
As we have been telling you throughout the year, MIUI 14 has been one of the protagonists in the MI field, starting months ago, since the company announced the first models that would enjoy the new version of the software. A little later, in fact, a much more exhaustive list was given and, more importantly, deadlines that have been met.
In summary, all the “eligible” models for MIUI 14 from Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO have already received the update, although not in all cases they have done so together with the system update and there are many terminals that enjoy MIUI 14, but with Android 12, instead of Android 13. But the same will not happen with MIUI 14.1, it is worth repeating.
According to Xiaomiui, MIUI 14.1 will be the next software update, but it will be “limited to a few devices with Android 14”. Hardly anything is said about the novelties that it will bring, but the models that will benefit from the launch are anticipated and the list is very short:

It should be noted that Android 14 has not even come out, its second beta was presented a couple of months ago, but it will have done so by the time MIUI 14.1 is ready, which is expected to happen. gradually between August and November.
