Depending on our budget and the needs we have in the content playbackWe can opt for one or the other. The truth is that this is a service that is not having a good time after all the controversy generated by the sharing of its accounts.
After the functionality was blocked, the company has seen many of its clients unsubscribe and abandon its services. To try to convince those who were thinking of migrating to another platform, last November Netflix launched its standard plan with ads. Basically, this is focused on offering us movies, series and documentaries, but with advertisements in the playback. Obviously the price drop compared to the rest of the plans here became effective. It must be taken into account that in Spain the standard plan with ads has a cost of €5.49.
This means that this is a Netflix plan that has only been with us for a few months and from the beginning the acceptance it would have was not known. It must be taken into account that here the limitations, in addition to the aforementioned advertisingis that we could only play content at 720pand not all titles are available.
Netflix improves its plan with ads
However, worldwide, the truth is that this basic subscription with advertising has been quite well accepted. Hence, now the heads of the streaming platform have decided to improve it in order to attract a greater number of customers. We are talking about the most affordable subscription model that we are going to find in this specific proposal.
Therefore, from now on, something that we can already say has become effective in our country, the standard Netflix plan with ads has improved significantly. The first of the changes refers to the maximum quality that we can reproduce our video content. This has gone from the aforementioned 720p to Full HD, that is, 1080p. This could be considered an important change, especially if we take into account that many of us have devices with screens that support high resolutions at the moment, even 4K.
Another of the modifications that have been carried out in the service is that we will be able to play our movies and series on two devices simultaneously. Before only today we could see these videos on a single device, and now we can do it on two as long as they are in the same location. If we take into consideration that at this moment the plan standard with ads works better than the basic one, this will increase the acceptance considerably.
The curious thing about all this is that at the moment the standard plan with ads is superior to the basic one, except for the issue of advertising. Perhaps Netflix is planning to increase the advantages of the latter as well shortly.
