The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti arrives on the market with the promise of being significantly cheaper than the RTX 4090 and 4080. Its public price announced by Nvidia is €899.99, but the brand does not offer a Founders Edition. We tell you where to find the custom versions of the RTX 4070 Ti at the best price.
Nvidia had announced three references for the first RTX 40XX series graphics cards. A GeForce RTX 4090 as well as two versions of the RTX 4080: one 16 GB and another 12 GB, more affordable. But the latter will not ultimately see the light of day. At least not under that name. It finally returns under the name RTX 4070 Ti for more consistency in view of its technical data sheet.
That’s more honest and less likely to throw the buyer off. This new reference is aimed at gamers looking for performance, ideally for playing with a 1440p screen. But this graphics card is far from deserving in 4K, and this, for a suggested price located below the 1000 € mark.
Where to buy the RTX 4070 Ti at the best price?
Nvidia has announced a retail price of €899.99 for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. It’s not cheap, but we are still 500 € below the recommended price of the RTX 4080. Only here, the chameleon brand has decided not to leave Founders Edition for its new graphics card. You will therefore have to fall back on one of the many custom versions of the partner manufacturers.
As per usual, these modified and often overclocked versions cost more. Some are offered at a suggested retail price of €899.99, but that was in the early hours of its availability. It is now difficult to find the RTX 4070 Ti at this price.
We see it around 1000 €, even up to more than 1200 € at official sellers and those of Marketplaces. The observation is the same depending on whether you opt for an MSI, Gigabyte, Asus or ZOTAC version.
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti: what is its technical sheet?
The RTX 4070 Ti is cut out for gaming in 1440p, or even in 4K, provided you are less demanding on the quality of the graphics. This graphics card adopts the new architecture Nvidia’s Ada Lovelave and is built around the AD104 GPU engraved in 4 nm. The RTX 4070 Ti has 7680 CUDA cores for a gross power of 40 TFLOPSalmost twice that of the RTX 3070 Ti (21.7 TFLOPS).
If you have a 1440p or 1080p screen, you have enough to play comfortably in these definitions in Ultra. And if you’re aiming for 4K, it still has a strong case, especially for games compatible with DLSS in general and more specifically with the DLSS 3.0big news on this new generation of Nvidia graphics cards.
During our test of the RTX 4070 Ti, we were able to see that it easily exceeded 60 fps in 4K on the majority of games, with an average of 76.1 fps. With ray tracing, the average drops sharply, but returns to reasonable levels when DLSS is available.
At 1440p, the performance average goes up to 130fps for the RTX 4070 Ti. Overall, the graphics card is more efficient than the RTX 3080 Ti and rivals the RTX 3090 Ti for a lower RRP.
