NVIDIA launches a new Studio Driver with improvements for Blender

The American giant has released a new update to the NVIDIA Studio Driver. As many of our readers will know, these drivers allow us to get the most out of our GeForce GTX and GeForce RTX graphics card in a multitude of professional applications, giving us exclusive functions and features that they will make life easier for us.

With this new Studio Driver, NVIDIA has made improvements to professional applications such as Blender, Isotropix Clarisse, and PowerDirector. In this regard, it is important to note that NVIDIA has taken advantage of the recent release of Blender 3.0 to polish its drivers, something that shows that the company is always aware of the different movements in the sector to keep its users up to date.

Among the novelties that Blender 3.0 brings we can highlight an improved interface, a reduction in generated artifacts, a library of own and shared resources, new customization options and the possibility of importing USD files, which are key for NVIDIA Omniverse, because they allow scenes to be edited by several creative applications simultaneously.

On the other hand, this new NVIDIA Studio driver also brings improvements for Isotropix Clarisse 5.5 with Angie. Thanks to these improvements, we will be able to significantly accelerate rendering times, and thanks to the acceleration of the specialized hardware of GeForce RTX graphics cards we can render very large scenes without problem.

To all of the above, we must also add that the new Studio Driver introduce improvements in PowerDirector, Cyberlink’s well-known video editing application. NVIDIA Broadcast is integrated as well as its advanced tools powered by AI, including noise reduction for video and audio, which reduces graininess, background noise and echo. But this is not all, these video and sound improvements can be made in post-production, which means a significant flexibility in the work of professional editors.
