Óscar Vilda will be the new CEO of Finetwork

The Spanish fiber and mobile company Finetwork has elected Óscar Vilda as CEO. Vilda, whose mission in her new position will be to continue the operator’s business strategy, boost its growth and make it the fourth largest telecommunications operator in the market. He has more than 25 years of experience in management positions in consumer goods and telecommunications companies. He will replace Manuel Hernández in the post.

Before joining Finetwork, he held the positions of Commercial General Manager at Orange and General Manager of Vodafone’s Individual Business Unit. Vilda also has international management experience, as she comes to Finetwork from Qatar, where she has been a board member of Starlink and CEO of telecommunications company Ooredoo Qatar. In the latter, among other tasks, she was in charge of preparing the company for the World Cup.

Vilda’s arrival at Finetwork will seek for the operator to focus on the client and accelerate its digitization. Both are two of the factors that the manager believes are essential to develop the telecommunications sector.

Currently, Finetwork exceeds 900,000 customers in Spain and has a staff of more than 300 employees. Its headquarters are located in Madrid and Alicante, and also in the Alicante town of Elda. It was born as a regional operator only 8 years ago, and in 2019 it expanded to the entire national territory, after billing 122 million euros.

The new CEO of Finetwort has highlighted that his incorporation into the company «it is the result of the strong ambition of the Company’s shareholders to become the fourth market operator, which has been one of the most attractive factors in this project. The objective is to give a boost to the business strategy, from the focus on the client and digitization”.
