Pablo Echevarría, new CEO for Iberia of S21sec

The cybersecurity company S21sec has a new CEO for Iberia: Pablo Echevarríawho comes to the company from Entelgy, a consultant he arrived in February 2022 as CEO and in which he has been in charge of managing, among other things, its areas dedicated to cybersecurity and digital business.

According to Expansión, in his new position, Echevarría will be in charge of supervising S21sec’s businesses, both those he has in Spain and those he develops in Portugal. He will replace Agustín Muñoz-Grandes, who left the company some time ago, and who for four months has been the head of Accenture Security for Spain, Portugal and Israel.

Echevarría has a track record related to the technology sector of more than 30 years. Before his entry into Entelgy, he held management positions at the wholesale operator Axen, and at Telefónica. In the latter is where he has stayed the longest in his career. In total, 18 years, which he distributed among different positions in Spain and the United Kingdom.

Currently, S21sec is owned by the French Thales since autumn of last year, after the closing of an operation that also included the purchase of the Excellium consultancy. Therefore, Echevarría will have among his new responsibilities the supervision and execution of the integration plan for the services that he offers in the Thales cybersecurity solutions portfolio. This, in turn, has before it the rest of deploying its growth plan to grow in the cybersecurity sector.

For its part, S21sec has a large portfolio of clients in Spain. Among them are a good number of companies, from a wide variety of sectors, listed on the Ibex35. Its staff, distributed among nine centers in Spain and Portugal, has more than 400 expert professionals in the field of online security.
