QNAP has introduced QVR Human 2.0, a major update to its popular people counting solution that comes with major enhancements and offers a very interesting value. Among the most interesting novelties that it includes, we can highlight the area density analysis, event notification and heat map.
With QVR Human 2.0 we can generate statistics about traffic flowwhich will allow us to have very valuable information that will help us make better decisions, and also to meet important objectives, such as increasing sales conversion rates, optimizing staff schedules and improving the effectiveness of marketing and services .
This QNAP solution performs counting and analysis at the server end, resulting in higher profitability both for stores and organizations. With it we can also benefit from the flexibility of being able to choose IP cameras that meet our real needs, and that fit our budget, and that is that QVR Human 2.0 is compatible with more than 6,700 IP cameras and with cameras with support for ONVIF.
Key Features of QVR Human 2.0
- Supports various video sources: QVR Human analyzes video streams from various sources, including RTSP servers, QVR Pro, and QVR Elite.
- Support for areal density function (new): Calculates the density level by setting the upper limit of the number of people in a given area. We can use this function as a notification if someone enters a prohibited area.
- Line crossing count: detects the number of people crossing the lines in one direction or the other. Up to four detection lines (straight/traverse) can be defined for each channel.
- Event notification (new): sends event notifications (such as limit being exceeded).
- General information (new): We can consult all camera channels, detection lines and tasks created, and obtain real-time people traffic statistics on the control panel to better manage operations and the flow of people in the facilities.
- Smart report (new): we can visualize the previous data in a graph or hot map to know the traffic trends. We can also set filters based on certain dates and download reports as CSV files.
- Compatible with Hailo-8 module (new): it allows to improve the performance of recognition through AI, which will allow us to enjoy highly efficient, accurate and large-scale intelligent surveillance with much lower running costs.
Availability and requirements
QVR Human 2.0 is now available, and we can try it for free for a month. This test includes two camera channels for cross line count or area density tasks.
In order to use it, we will need a x86-based (64-bit) QNAP NAS with at least 4GB of RAM (8 GB of RAM is recommended for a smoother user experience.) The NAS must be running QTS 5.0.1 (or later), QuTS hero h5.0.1 (or later) operating systems
