The proximity to customers, the fast connection, high availability, security, energy efficiency and support have been the requirements required by SiteGround to provide a better user experience and has been the trigger to host the information of its clients in the first Google Cloud region in Spain.

Geographic proximity reduces loading speed

This new data center improves the opportunities for the web pages with the highest traffic from Spain, shortening the distance between the web, visitors and web hosting. These websites visited by users in the same area will benefit from a drastic reduction in latencythanks to the geographical proximity that, combined with Google’s unrivaled network, results in a much faster page load speed.

Likewise, the Madrid data center is added as a new location of SiteGround’s own CDN (Content Delivery Network or Content Distribution Network) distributing content hosted on other servers further away geographically, serving said content more efficiently and closer to the user.

The incorporation of this new cloud zone to SiteGround’s hosting services map is a clear commitment to improving the figures and business objectives of its clients’ websites. Supported by a technological partner focused on speed, security, expert support, in an environment marked by energy efficiency and sustainability, the rest on which SiteGround is constantly working.
