Sony updates its camera catalog with the new 4K PTZ

The Japanese giant has expanded its camera catalog with two new Sony PTZ 4K models, the SRG-A40 and the SRG-A12. Both have advanced functions, such as the auto tracking and coherent, they can frame automatically and naturally to people even when they are on the move, thanks to the artificial intelligenceoffer high-quality zoom and are very easy to set up.

Sony has designed the new 4K PTZ to achieve high image quality, but it has also opted for flexibility and versatility, something that is evident in many aspects, such as remote control and the ease with which we can install and configure them.

In this sense we can highlight the remote control via VISCA/VISCA over IP with a single network cable for power, output, and control, and the inclusion of PoE++, which allows for simplified integration into new or existing environments without separate power cabling.

These two new Sony cameras are compatible with the RTSP protocol (Real Time Streaming Protocol), which allows remote viewing, and with the SRT protocol (Security Reliable Transport), which guarantees secure, smooth and stable video transmission.

The image sensor that Sony has used in these two cameras is a high-sensitivity Exmor R CMOS, a guarantee of image quality. Both models work with resolution 4K at 30 frames per second and with resolution Full HD at 60 frames per second.

The SRG-A40 offers Clear Image Zoom technology, which doubles optical zoom from 20x to 30x in 4K or 40x in Full HD, while the SRG-A12 offers up to 12x zoom. With the teleconversion mode, the SRG-A40 can zoom up to 80x, while the SRG-A12 can zoom up to 24x, all while maintaining smooth and fast PTZ movement between cameras. Day and night modes help optimize capture in terms of brightness and shadows.

Both cameras will be available starting this summer at a price of €3,600 the SRG-A12 model and 4,300 euros the SRG-A40 model.
