Almost 8 months before the announcement of a new Pixel 7, the leaker @xleaks7 has already managed to get their hands on a 3D file of the design of Google’s next high-end smartphone. The Pixel 7, which we currently know as his codename “Cheetah (“Panther” for the Pixel 7 Pro), should inherit the design of the current Pixel 6, but there are some minor changes.

Indeed, according to the 3D file, the Pixel 6 will still use a horizontal strip on the back for the photo module. There are two sensors that will probably be identical to those of the Pixel 6. On this generation, Google would have decided to surround these sensors with a “pill”. On the right side, there is a small hole for the microphone and a location for the flash.

The Pixel 7 is smaller than the Pixel 6!

According to the information in the 3D file, the Pixel7 would be much smaller than its predecessor. In effect, the new generation would measure only 155.6 x 73.1 x 8.7 mmagainst 158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm for the Pixel 6. We can therefore note that the smartphone is not only less high, less wide, but also less thick, which will of course also put its weight on the scale.

Contrary to what we thoughtthe front should remain the same on the Pixel 7. The smartphone would not benefit from a camera under the screen, despite the various patent applications filed by Google. We can also note the presence of a sensor on the upper edge of the smartphone which will allow it to be compatible with 5G mmWave bandsgood news for those who want to surf the Internet ever faster.

Finally, the report confirms the presence of a fingerprint sensor under the screen, speakers at the top and bottom, a USB-C port and the slot for the SIM card on the left side. As in previous years, it is expected that Google unveils its smartphone with its new Tensor GS201 chip in October 2022. In the meantime, we know that the American giant should lift the veil on the Pixel 6a and the Pixel Watch during an event on May 26.
