These are the barriers that SMEs have to embrace digital transformation

Spain is the seventh country in Europe and the 23rd in the world in business digitization. It is what emerges from Digital Economy Barometerrecently introduced by Ametic.

The SME, which represents around 99.8% of the country’s business fabric, has quite a few barriers to embracing technology, software and digital transformation.

Larger organizations focus on increasing the efficiency of processes. In the case of SMEs, it is observed that the biggest digitization problems are mainly the high implementation costs, the lack of technological training and the shortage of technical employees.

On the other hand, the study ‘Spanish SMEs in 2022: digital challenges and aspirations’ developed by BeeDigital shows that 70% of SMEs will invest in digitization in the next three years. In this sense, one of the items of the Next Generation Funds is intended to digitize SMEs and the self-employed, known as the ‘digital kit’.

However, digitization should not be understood as a barrier. For this reason, the technological startup Taclia has developed software that allows an SME or individual business to be digitized very quickly, easily and free of charge. In fact, Taclia facilitates the digitization of a business in five minutes thanks to the automatic registration process, with recommendations for use and its easy-to-use functions.

In other words, Taclia covers all the management areas of an SME in an all-in-one software.
