Interactive widgets arrive on iPad

With the arrival of iPadOS we can interact with the content of the widgets without having to open the application from which we have the widget on the screen. We can click on the content that we have activated to interact and it will be updated in real time.

Interactive widgets also arrive on the home and locked screen, following the same philosophy of interacting. Also, not only widgets live on the home screen. But also, now we can track activities in real time, at the bottom of the screen, as if it were a “virtual dynamic island”.

In addition to the improvements on the main screen, we now have new applications. And it is that, for the first time we will be able to synchronize our health information through the iPad, thanks to iPadOS 17. In the same way as the app, the HealthKit system also arrives to be able to develop applications and services on this platform.

One of the iPad’s strongest points is its productivity. PDF documents now have more weight on the iPad, thanks to the improvement of the native Notes application. And now this application is much more compatible with this type of document. We will can write and edit with Apple Pencil on the document and being able to work with other people in real time.

Now we will be able to connect our iPad to an external monitor and we will be able to modify the size of the windows that we have open, in order to have a much more organized interface.

Also, if we connect the iPad to an external monitor that has a built-in camera, we will be able to use the built-in camera as the main video input source.
