The battery of all AirPods models can be repaired
The good news is that the entire range of AirPods products can be changed/repaired. From the first generation AirPods, to AirPods Max, you can take them to technical servicesince there is (at the moment) no discontinued model by Apple, which usually implies that repairs are not allowed.
However, the price of the battery repair applies to both the headphones (individually, in the case of AirPods and AirPods Pro, and together for AirPods Max) and the charging cases. Keep in mind that the AirPods Max case is not for charging them, but for transporting them, so it does not apply to this service. The prices are:

Repairing is not the same as replacing it with a new one
Now, a battery repair service (where they can replace the product) is not the same as a replacement service. They may seem the same, but this service that I am going to tell you about now is called “Lost Object” and It is used to buy, individually, an AirPod or a charging case.
That is, it is not to replace the battery, but, in case you have lost an AirPod, or the charging case, You can request a new one from the technical service from Apple. However, the price is different for replacement earphones and charging cases. This service is only available for all generations of AirPods and AirPods Pro. There is a third service for AirPods
In addition to these two services, Apple has a third one called “Other damages”. The technical service website does not specify what these “Other damages” may be, and which of these “Other damages” can be repaired. And although the entire AirPods family can request the “Other damage” repair service, Apple itself does not specify the price for all models. As is the case with AirPods Max. If we do not have a contracted Apple Care+ program, we must personally contact the technical service to find out the price of the repair. The official prices are:
