Ubisoft Forward 2023, what have you presented?

just finished Ubisoft Forward 2023, another event that was scheduled, a few months ago, when E3 was supposed to take place on these dates, but without being directly linked to the fair. Thus, and in the same way as Microsoft with its Xbox Showcase 2023 that took place yesterday, despite the fact that the fair was finally canceled (we still hope that only for this year, although there are reasons to think that more permanently), the French firm has carried out a much-awaited presentation today.

We expected, especially from the trailer we saw yesterday at the Microsoft event, to be able to see for the first time images of the gameplay from Star Wars Outlaws. Thus, unlike those from Redmond, who had their basket overflowing with news and were allowed to show the new titles of the Star Wars family practically at the beginning, Ubisoft has reserved this long-awaited moment for the end of its presentation, trying to in this way leave us with a good taste in our mouths.

Let’s see then, the most interesting announcements of this Ubisoft Forward 2023.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

A development that we have known about for more than five years and that we expected to see the light of day simultaneously with the release of the film, until James Cameron stated that, in reality, its plot is located between that of Avatar: The Sense of Water , and the following sequel, originally scheduled for next year. We finally got to see the first gameplay of this open world (the option of being able to explore Pandora is really tempting), and we expect its release on December 7, 2023.

xdefiant

Present on the market since 2021, Ubisoft has announced interesting news for this shooter, and we have also been able to see how a group of players who were able to test them have reacted to them in a closed beta that took place at the beginning of 2023. New maps, new factions, more weapons and more news, which players will be able to test in an open beta that will take place at the end of summer.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

Ubisoft recovers this mythical saga with The Lost Crown, of which we have been able to see the first trailer in this Ubisoft Forward 2023, after what was already shown to us last week at the Summer Game Fest. We see in it new combat techniques, enemies that seem very complex and that will surprise us with some of their attacks, and some graphics with which the saga is very up to date. Its launch is scheduled for January 18, 2024.

The Crew Motorfest

The Crew saga has become one of Ubisoft’s great successes, thanks to its arcade approach reminiscent of Forza Horizon, that is, it gives priority to action over simulation realism, providing a faster, less technical experience and, therefore, more casual and fun for many. And what they have told us is that The Crew Motorfest will offer us a festival dynamic (something that we have already seen in Horizon) in Hawaii. We won’t have to wait long as it will hit the market on September 14.

Assassin’s Creed

There are several announcements that we have been able to see in relation to another of the company’s most successful sagas. On the one hand, in addition to seeing a trailer for Nexus VR, which was announced a few years ago, it has finally been confirmed that it will arrive next Christmas, and that it will do so exclusively for Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro.

On the other hand, they have also shown us a trailer for the story of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will take over from Valhalla within the main line of the franchise, returning the saga to its roots after its jump to the world of the Vikings. It will be available from October 12

Star Wars Outlaws

The most anticipated of the afternoon was, without a doubt, the new title that aims to take us, once again, to the universe created by George Lucas for Star Wars. This new adventure takes place in the time period located between episodes IV and V, and from what we have been able to see it will be a first-person adventure that will take place in an open world, a formula that a priori is quite suitable for Star Wars. We have been able to see images in which we are accompanied by an adorable creature, which will also help us in stealth actions, displacements and speeder chases and, of course, the occasional shooting. And when will we be able to enjoy all this? In 2024.
