New features in the Dock
One of the most distinctive elements of macOS is the Dock, where we can place the applications that we use the most on a daily basis to be able to access them quickly. However, this Dock, for professions that need several applications like me, who need Blender, Adobe Photoshop, Unerel Engine, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Creality is too small for us, especially when I’m with my 13-inch MacBook Pro .
Apple, in this version, has missed a great opportunity to be able to generate folders within the Dock, bringing them together as we can do in Launchpach to be able to organize the applications quickly and not have the dock full of apps giving feeling overwhelmed
Artificial intelligence
Apple needs to develop AI by leaps and bounds, especially with the arrival of Copilot, Chat-GPT and Bard, is revolutionizing the way we communicate and work with our laptops and desktops, making us much more productive and efficient people.
Now, Apple has not introduced nothing in macOS that has to do with AI, which means that during this year, the competition is going to be able to improve and develop a product that Apple simply does not include. I’m not asking that you release versions as developed as yours, but that Siri be more than a very limited assistant.
greater synchronization
The integration of the different Apple operating systems is beyond any doubt, but it does not mean that Apple should not improve and when you have been with devices of the bitten apple for many years, you usually find little dots that allow us to eliminate rough edges and improve our user experience.
For example, we all use the iPhone as an alarm clock. However, if we have woken up before or had another alarm scheduled, we cannot turn it off from the Mac, but we have to get up and go to the iPhone.
We have the same situation with the notifications, since, not all the notifications that reach the iPhone, reach the Mac, having to look at the iPhone from time to time, especially when the Watch is charging. Being able to receive all notifications from all your Apple devices by filtering the apps you want would improve the productivity and concentration that we have with the Mac.
Also, it is important to highlight the synchronization What we have with the HomePods could be expanded to other operating systems, so that if I’m listening to music on the iPhone, it can be transmitted to the Mac and have a stereo mode with all Apple products.
dynamic island
Finally, we cannot forget that Apple has not included in macOS the most important novelty of the iPhone, such as the dynamic island and that, due to the workflow that notifications we receive every day, it would be very interesting to include this novelty in the macOS notification panel. This novelty would not be too much from a productive point of view, but would seek to make the entire Apple ecosystem acquire a logical and unifying evolution.
Above all, the arrival of notifications that we constantly receive from the upper right part or when we are listening to music and we look for the direct access that we have next to the Wifi. They are details, details that make the experience better.
