Windows 11 will have a redesign of “Open With”

Since the launch of Windows 11, at the end of last year, we have seen how Microsoft has stepped on the accelerator in terms of providing the operating system with new functions. Something understandable because, as we discussed at the time, Windows 11 seemed half done, something like Windows 10.5. It promised a lot, but a good part of the news was not yet available, something that surely discouraged many people from taking the leap.

The situation has improved since then, and the expected Windows 11 22H2 update promises to go even further in this direction, with a huge set of new features that may serve to increase its adoption, one of the main fronts of Microsoft at the moment. But, as we already told you, the thing does not end there, since the company’s engineers have already been working on the news that will come to Windows beyond 22H2 for some time.

And today we know of one of those novelties, something that without implying a big change to the operating system, it does reflect that in Redmond they have decided that the facelift of your operating system is absolute. Specifically, in a novelty that has only reached the Insiders Dev channel at the moment, Microsoft would be redesigning the “Open with” function of the context menu.

As you can see in the picture, this new design visually adapts it to the design scheme of Windows 11thus giving it a more up-to-date look, as well as adapting it to the different modes (light and dark) of the operating system.
