The great summer sales campaigns are just around the corner and they promise deep discounts on technology and electronics purchases. Seeing how the international economic scene is, with uncontrolled inflation throughout the planet, we recommend that you take advantage of them because next autumn-winter seems very complicated.
Faithful to their appointment in July, our two main retailers and among the most important in the Spanish market, are preparing to launch their campaigns as «summer black friday«. PcComponentes will start next week with its “PCDays” offers, while Amazon will celebrate Prime Day 2022 for two days, on July 12 and 13. How to prepare summer sales
As in all these massive days of discounts, it is convenient to take into account a series of aspects to take better advantage of them. They are designed to prepare the purchase on Amazon, but most are extensive to PcComponentes. We remind you:
1. Subscribe to Amazon Prime
Being important the volume of business that moves these days, another great objective of it is to retain customers and attract new users. Therefore, the subscription to the Amazon Prime service is required to access Prime Day deals.

The annual subscription is very cheap in Spain and it is worth it: only 36 euros.
As for PcComponentes, it also has a Premium service, although it will cease to be active on June 1, 2023, so new contracts or renewals have been disabled, since June 1, 2022. According to the retailer, the idea is to offer a “5 star service” to all customers alike. In fact, anyone can access your offers of the summer with all the advantages.
2. Check your account details
Before you start the offer campaigns, you should make sure that the account data is correct. Check the expiration date of the card you use as payment and confirm that your personal data and shipping addresses are valid and correct.
3. Stranger, you have to be very fast
The best deals expire in minutes, if not seconds, especially the so-called “Flash” deals which tend to be the ones that offer the biggest discount. Remember that on Amazon, once you have added one of the products to your basket, you will have a maximum of 15 minutes to confirm your purchase.
4. Use the waiting list
Even if you are late for any of these offers, if you are interested in one, get in line. All units may be reserved by other clients but only momentarily. Use the waiting list and you will be notified if the product becomes available again. As in the previous case, you only have 15 minutes to make the purchase effective once the item has been reserved.
5. Rate the free Amazon app
With it, Amazon Prime customers can easily access Prime Day deals anytime, anywhere and make purchases through a mobile or tablet. Through it, you can also receive notifications on your mobile of the offers that you follow or that are on your waiting list and they will notify you when an offer is about to start. 6. Consider installing the Amazon Assistant
Amazon has a specific assistant that offers notifications of offers on your PC based on browser extensions. Includes order update; notification of the offers seen; access to wish list, product comparison and other functions.
7. Shipping costs
shipments are free for Prime Day deals and for all the millions of products sold or fulfilled by Amazon, but beware of products sold by third-party sellers because they may have shipping costs. As for delivery times, they are usually as fast as usual, although some items may be delayed due to the volume of requests.

8. Return Policy and Warranty
Purchases you make on Prime Day or PcDays will enjoy a period of standard 30 day return. The same as without the offer period, two years in general in Spain and many items are sold with a 3 or 5 year guarantee.
9. What will be the best deals?
Amazon takes advantage of these days to promote its own line of hardware and some of them are usually the most discounted items. Echo assistants, Fire tablets or streamers, Kindle readers… If you’re looking for something Amazon’s own brand surely you will not find it cheaper throughout the year. Amazon will also offer thousands of third-party products at a discount, both for its own sale and through the thousands of third-party retailers that sell on its platform.
PcComponentes will offer discounts on its entire catalogue, with special mention on the best-selling products such as smartphones or laptops, as well as televisions, monitors and everything related to the gaming which will have a special section.
10. Do not get hot…
As we recommend in all these types of campaigns, be clear about your needs. Keep track of the items you intend to buy, their normal selling price, offers from other suppliers and a budget of what you are willing to spend. These types of offers usually offer very good discounts on some items, but avoid compulsive purchases.
