Another PS5 exclusive game comes to PC to tighten the Master Race

Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart

PlayStation has announced the arrival on PC of one of its exclusive PS5 games. We are obviously talking about Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, a title that served to introduce some of the new features of the next-generation console, and that now, two years later, lands on PC.

A new dimension comes to PC

The launch of the new Ratchet & Clank on PS5 it served to introduce one of the great features of the console, and it was none other than the incredible speed of its SSD storage. This allowed games like Ratchet & Clank to load worlds extremely quickly, being able to create transitions and effects that had never been seen before in a game. The result was spectacular and the game behaved wonderfully. Well, now it comes to PC.

What the PC version will offer

Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart

From the hand of Nixxes Software, this PC version will include effects of ray tracing with various levels of customization, also offering ray tracing for natural lighting outdoors, thus achieving more realistic shadows. It will also be possible to use ultrawide resolutions with aspect ratios of 21:9, 32:9 and up to 48:9.

We will also be able to reach unlimited frame rates, being able to use technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS and Temporal Injection from Insomniac Games. Compatible with keyboard and mouse, the game will also allow you to use a Dual Sense controller to take advantage of the haptic feedback functions and dynamic triggers, thus enjoying the same experience as on PS5.

The big question: will it run the same?

The best SSDs for the PS5

But the big question before us is whether the game will work just as well as on PS5. Let’s remember that the jump between worlds is done immediately and naturally thanks to the PS5 SSD, so the question arises as to how it will affect the thousands of configurations that a PC can have.

Will we need an M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD for the game to run as smoothly as on PS5? This could cause quite a few problems for many users, especially for those who are not very technically savvy. In case you don’t need it, why did PS5 sell it as such a technological advance?

The technical requirements necessary to run the game have not yet been shared, so we will be watching to see exactly what machine is needed to make the game work perfectly.
