Google Chrome is the web browser that users use the most, specifically by more than 7 out of 10 users who connect to the Internet. For this reason, the responsibility falls on Google so that users can navigate safely and without taking unnecessary risks. Google Chrome protects us while we browse the Internet in several ways. In addition to having a sandbox modewhich prevents any threat that reaches the PC from being able to run in Windows and access our data, and the constants bug fixesalso has security features that allow us to analyze the websites to notify us when one of them is dangerous, control the extensions that we install in the browser and check the downloads.

Turn on Chrome Enhanced Protection
To activate this security measure, what we must do is open the Chrome Configuration menu, and within it enter the section Privacy and security > Security.
Within this section we will find the “Safe Browsing” options. These will allow us to choose the level of protection that we want to have when browsing the Internet. By default, Chrome comes with the standard protection activated, a global configuration for everyone that protects us the best it can without depending so much on Google services.
If we want to be able to shield the browser, what we must do that turn on enhanced protection. To do this, we just have to click on the selector that appears next to that option to automatically switch the browser’s protection to this mode.
From now on, when we browse with Chrome we will be doing so in a safe and private way, being able to be protected from all possible computer attacks.
Other security measures that we must activate
Once Chrome’s enhanced protection is activated, we will be able to browse the Internet much more securely and protected, eliminating the risk that hackers end up reaching our PC. However, there are still other security measures that can help us shield our security a little more.
For example, within the “chrome://settings/security” section, we can find a switch that allows us to force websites to always use secure connections, displaying a notice when one does not use this protocol. We can also use a secure DNS that encrypts the requests and prevents anyone, not even the Internet provider, from knowing which pages we visit.
And finally, it never hurts to follow these steps from Google to strengthen and shield the protection of our Google account and all the data we store in it.
