In previous months, Netflix announced its arrival in the video game market with the premiere of four original titles which are available for mobile, free of charge. Now we know that HBO did not want to be left behind and will face the big N with a new bet.
The HBO company has revealed its first video game, which is named The Come Up Game, which is based on the original comedy-drama series Insecure.
According to reports from Gizmodo, Glow Up Games, this title will enter the world of Issa Dee, the protagonist of the series, and “will bring to life the friendships and dramas of her life”, with a gameplay that includes Minigames like “battles of rap” by means of selection of rhymes and fast lyrics, among other things.
Something that drew attention is that HBO has taken Insecure as the series chosen to launch its first video game, above other great franchises such as Game of Thrones, Harry Potter or the DC universe. Unlike Netflix, which took on one of its stellar productions, Stranger Things.
How to get Insecure: The Come Up Game?
For now, it is unknown if Insecure: The Come Up Game will be the first of many releases that HBO will have, meanwhile, this video game is already available for free download through the App Store on iOS, although its soon arrival on Android is also expected.
