What do Lotus, Smart and Volvo, well-known brands on the French market, share? They are all owned by Chinese auto giant Geely.. This major player in the industry began its conquest of Europe a few years ago, with the introduction of Polestar and Lynk&CO.

But in 2024, Geely intends to go further by launching on the Old Continent the Zeekr X, an all-new electric SUV. Briefly unveiled in February 2023, the company has just officially presented the Zeekr X to the general public this Thursday, April 13, 2023.

The Zeekr X bets on technology

To appeal to European users, Zeekr has bet on an aggressive style, with sharp lines, a rather short sculpted front bonnet, minimalist headlights and the absence of door handles at the front in favor of a button. . On this last point, the Zeekr X innovates since it will also carry a facial recognition unlocking system.

Indeed, a 3D camera is housed in the pillar of the car, on the upper part of the door. An additional guarantee of security for future users. But that’s not all because proximity sensors will also be integrated into the door, to avoid possible collisions with a wall or other. The interior is not left out with this gigantic 14.6″ control screen slider and electric chairs. The Zeekr X clearly wants to impose itself thanks to these technological assets, as explained by general manager Any An. According to him, it will even be possible to install a refrigerator as an option.
