Although the new gameplay footage doesn’t show every nook and cranny of the famous Hogwarts school, it clearly shows thatit is a huge place to explore and full of secrets. The new open world therefore promises to be quite dynamic. Warner and Avalanche also donated a glimpse of the beautiful Hufflepuff common room, and revealed that the player will have access to fast travel points. You can also turn off several HUD elements of your choice to enjoy a more immersive experience. The demo didn’t touch on some of the more interesting areas, like the Great Hall and areas outside the school, including the Forbidden Forest, for example.

Hogwarts Legacy will focus on customization

Upon starting the game, some players may be disappointed to learn that their character customization will be quite limited, as only a few presets will be available, with no ability to fine-tune your facial features. We will also only find two different voices, one feminine and the other masculine. That said, the developers promise that many cosmetics and other customization options can be unlocked once you start playing the game.

We were also treated to a brief overview of the combat system. The latter seems surprisingly fast, with a emphasis on combos, breaking opponents’ shields and parrying incoming attacks. In and out of combat, characters have access to a variety of spells. Players can unlock and use over 20 combat spells in addition to various “essential spells”. These combat spells will be in boxes at the bottom right of your screen.

As a reminder, Hogwarts Legacy will be coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5 on February 10, 2023. If you missed it, you can watch the full Showcase with the video below .
