The first company to bring the aesthetic to the mass market was Apple with its early iMacs and iBooks, but sacrificing features in the process. In the case of the PC, today the towers are more beautiful than before due to the use of RGB lights. However, another level of customization has arrived: the holograms.
The acronym PC stands for Personal Computer and there is nothing more personal than being able to give it a personal touch and not look like a generic tower. Although for many users giving their own personality to their PC is not something that matters. For those who build their own computer, it is a way of signing on it. Let’s not forget that among the different components on the market there are millions of different combinations. Now, it is possible that having a different configuration is not enough for you and you need to make your computer more personal.
Will holograms be a trend in the PC box?
Well, we don’t know, but calling does attract attention. It all stems from the fact that side panels have been seen for computers that have the ability to display full-color, moving holograms. Obviously, this will not make your PC more powerful and therefore perform better, but it does give it a much higher level of customization and gives it a unique aesthetic touch. Let’s not forget that it has become very fashionable to place figurines inside the boxes to personalize them, well, this would be at the same level.
And who have been the creators of this idea? Well, a company called Hologram Showcase has created two panels of different sizes that can be used to replace the side panel, or if you want the front panel, with the ability to reproduce moving holograms in full color in any case or PC tower where it is installed. The only thing necessary? An internal USB port that is free to power the device and to transmit the images. What also means that if you want it can be used on other devices apart from the computer.
Can I buy one for my PC?
At the moment they cannot be purchased on the market, but their manufacturer affirms that at a much later we will have them to seeoy that will be released to some prices close to 150 and 200 €. So they are not going to be cheap. What is certain is that they will allow each person’s PC to be further customized and it is something much more differential than the classic RGB lights and more spectacular than placing a figure inside the box itself. We don’t know if they will be a trend among the majority public, but among those who like to build their personalized PC, yes.
Finally, the good thing is that they are ideal for building themed boxes of any popular theme without having to change the box. That is, which means enormous savings in materials and time. That is, with holograms we can have two identical boxes, but they look totally different.
