While the latest Windows 11 22H2 KB5026372 update has indeed removed many bugs, users of Microsoft’s operating system have had the displeasure to discover that it has revealed others, even more annoying. Indeed, many Internet users have brought up a set of problems which, put together, are prohibitive.

If you’ve installed the Windows 11 May Update, you may have seen issues as varied as:

  • the Security Center still works poorly (TPM detection and Main Isolation settings in particular)
  • THE SSD slowdown NVMe and SATA introduced by March 2023 Update has not been fixed
  • crashes and blue screens of death due to a security issue at the kernel level when using certain programs (Genshin Impact, for example)
  • slowdown of VPNs using the L2TP/IPsec network protocol
  • the Razer Control Panel popping up unexpectedly

Windows 11 KB5026372 fixes some problems and creates new ones

Complaints seem to come mainly business customers, due to the malfunction of the VPN function. On Reddit, we can read that “in some cases, the speed dropped from 16 MB / S to zero, while the connection time increased from a few seconds to 20 seconds and more”. Moreover, the list of problems is still long. The crisis is so severe that many frustrated users would like unsubscribe from the Windows Insider Program.

Microsoft recognizes that this update has created too many bugs. The teams of the Redmond firm are therefore hard at work to quickly make corrections to all of these malfunctions. The company should deploy these corrective updates in the coming weeksand the general public should be able to benefit from the Windows 11 update next June.
